As a member, I get in the local gun collectors show for free. Much to my wife's chagrin, so does she! Anyhow, all we managed to get this AM was a $6 nylon OWB holster for her Seecamp .32 - which was at home. She has a beautiful (and expensive) pocket leather holster she won't use, of course. In my search for a treasure, I did see an old Buck 110 - with a good box & paper. It had a dot on either side of the 110, I do believe. Kind of blocky looking scales - very dull brass. Marked $50, I said it likely wouldn't sell at this show for that. We left with just her holster.
Anyhow, skip ahead - after lunch - trip home. Oops - no fit on the holster. Back to the show - with the little firearm - and a revolver of mine to find a holster to fit. Wifey is happy - gets what she wanted - no holsters for me, of course. Back to the show - anothe 1.8 gallons of gas and $7 parking - for a $6 holster. Of course, I had to look at the old 110 again - literally, the only Buck I saw amongst all of the knives there! I stopped at $40 - he stopped at $45. No old 110 for me. Did I mess up? It was in good shape for a ~30 yr old knife, I suppose. I wonder what steel they used then?
It's odd about this Buck-gluttony. It is so pervasive... I have another CS 110 somewhere along the way. That's going to be a sweetie... still, why didn't I find another $5 and just get the blessed old thing?? Why do I need it?? I think I'll go look at my two CS 110s and smile like a baffoon for a bit - make my wife think I've lost it! There must be a twelve step group for Buckies...
