Yes, and many people, myself included, reverse those pins so the hex key side is on the back, and the shiny side is on the front. This is because the pocket clip will always have a hex-key screw, and if you reverse the pins, then the hex-key side of all the fasteners (for the pivot, two for the body, and pocket clip) are all on the same side.
I've only recently gotten to handle the newer style of fasteners, since all of my sebenzas were older models until this week when I got a newer one in, and I have to say I really dislike the newer double sided hex fasteners, from cursory use. When I tried to take the sebenza apart, the pin remained in the body and when I tried to push the pin out with my hex key, as I do with my older sebenzas, the hex key just kept going through the hex-hole of the pin. So I guess I need a different technique.
At the risk of sidetracking the topic, what is the perceived benefit of CRK to changing the hex fasteners? Mr Reeve is a brilliant knifemaker so I'm sure there must be a very good reason for the change, and perhaps if I understood it, and learned the correct method of disassembly, I might even prefer the newer ones! At least from a functional perspective. I prefer the aesthetics of the older style.
