Older European? Bayonet; Quatrefoil Cross-Section, Brass Grip, in Scabbard

It's 25 5/8" long in its scabbard, the blade is 20 7/16" long. Without its scabbard it weighs 15 1/2 oz.
It is marked as shown in pics 8 & 9, an' on the butt (not pictured) with an 'M' over 10 or 1.0
Also not pictured, just forward of the thumb release, is a tiny shield with an 'R' within it. I can find no marking on the scabbard.
When I was a kid, someone in the neighborhood had a similar version that we called a bleeder; probably because an adult told us that was what it was designed to do: poke a hole that would close but cause continued internal bleeding.
