I just found tonight a Schrade Walden N Y model 855 Stainless.
The oblong shield is marked stainless in script and all three blades are marked stainless as well. This knife measures 3 1/4 inches closed.

The second knife is a ? It has old timer in the oblong shield outside and Craftsmad on the master blade. 9523 is the model #. it has the match strike nail pull on the master blade. This is a big folder at 3 7/8 inches closed.

Any info on these knives would be greatley appreciated.

I think I have the same one but it may be a "franken knife"....I'll post some epics tomorrow.....

Describe the handles on your 855, and does it have the Razor Blade Etch on the blade? There have been several varieties.

Blade etch mostly gone. I can make out an 'ess' at the right near the ricasso. Handles seem to be bone but are a little darker at the ends than you usually see today. They are still tight with very little shrinkage or pulling away at the bolsters. Jigging is a peach seed type, in my best estimation.

Here is mine
Something is funny with one of the blades....it doesn't seem like the same metal....the shape is weird too....
I can only make out "STAINLESS" on the main blade etch

Interestingly I have never seen an 855RB with the oval or "oblong" shield, but that is how it's shown in the '66 catalog.
The blade etch on these is hard to get a good picture of but here is my two, the Scrade N.Y, USA 855 and the Schrade Walden N.Y. U.S.A. STAINLESS with 825 on the back. And of course, the Super Razorblade Stainless, an Imperial fish knife

Very hard for me to capture the etch too. Need to improve my photography skills. Here are a couple of different ones. Both are the 855 pattern and oblong shield. One with Sawcut Delrin, just like a 58OT with stainless blades, the other is a Craftsman shield. Both are Schrade Walden, with the older RAZOR BLADE STAINLESS PAT PENDING etch.

I have a Schrade Walden 718RB with this same etch too. The 2 3/4" pen knife.

My knife looks more like the right knife. But has Stainless on the shield and the jigging is somewhat different, or seems that way. I really need to learn how to resize my pics so I can post them.
