I'd like to see some pictures of your older JK knives. Might see something I should bring back to the line.

It sure is mykel m mykel m . And your penetrator tip. Handles are holding up great. Very comfy.

I have given away all of my JKs to friends and family over the past few years because they didn’t have good blades to carry. All but this one.

I think it’s time for a new one!

I’m going to have to bust out the camera. I have a bunch of older JK knives...most I’ve given to my sons because I want them to have the toughest knives on the block. Off the top of my head I have: a JK Original, a Pocket Scandi, a Rule Number Nine, Phoenix, a Toby, a few no name ones that I always wanted John to add to his line, a fire steel scraper/knife, and a little pocket knife without a handle. At one time I owned upwards of 20 JK knives.

PS. A Twig Mangler too

These three are my oldest JK's

I still have this and it is likely my most-used JK, just a handy, no-nonsense knife that is virtually indestructible.

The second knife I purchased from John was the Combat/Survival Knife with kit-sheath that included a pouch for a Vic Farmer knife.

Then John offered the Gambler's Bowie in one of the first "specials" in which I was able to participate. We had a fellow around here back then that made "Apocalyptic" sheaths from his company called Wasteland Leatherworks, so I sent the knife to him for a sheath. He no longer makes sheaths to my knowledge, but I still have the excellent sheath he made for me.

From there I am not sure of the dates, but certainly the pitdog Knatchet was an early purchase:

For which I later had our own John Smith (Darkmatter) make a beautiful sheath to compliment the Knatchet

That bottom one is very early, no lined lanyard hole.
It was my first JK, can't remember who I got it from or how many years ago it was. If it had an old school odometer I'm sure it would have "tripped over" more than once.

Most of those are at least 10 years old, from before I went full time. That one was from before I discovered micarta, the handles are black garolite.
