Older militaries better?

I have an older military with 440v and a stainless clip. I have also had two newer millies with 440v and the black clips. The locks on the newer millies seemed to engage the tang with a lot less force than my older millie. Also, the blades were not quite centered like my older one. How about the newest millitary with cmp30v? Has anyone else noticed this?

Thanks,
Jason

I had one of the first run ATS-34 models and I loved it. i just recently bought my friend a 440V at a good discount from a local store...it was awesome. For myself, i just got a S30V part serrated model. It's the best one yet. The others have their own high points, but overall , the latest S30V release is top notch. No question.

There are some other threads about the new Military. If you do a search, you'll get some good info.

I had a 1st, first run Military, one of the very first sold...a black serrated version, and the lock failed miserably under the lightest of downward pressure...

It was sold to a Spydie collector recently, unused, condition described and known...who wanted a '1st run' model...

Personally, I think the lock strength on the new versions is much better, this based on my experience...
