Older Military Scale Options? Titanium?

Got an older Military in Cruwear and was wondering what options I might have on changing the scales. I know Spyderco tweaks and changes their design sometimes so I don't know if anything made currently would work for mine. If nothing else I guess I could dye the scales a darker charcoal gray. But I'd love a set of Titanium scales for it if possible just to make the whole package stronger.

Thanks in advance for any info.

Well if you could find an old Ti scaled millie you could buy it and switch the blades. I know a guy who has one for sale…

Im not sure where you can find Ti (old spec) scales. Seems most after-martket ti scales are for PM 2 models

Just out of curiousity, what are you planning to do with it that it would need to be stronger than it already is? I've been beating the crap out of Millies for over a decade without any kind of failure.

Likely nothing. Same reason guys add more horsepower to anything... even if they'll never use it.

I might also just add a titanium back spacer as a compromise. Add a little flex proofing and save on some weight compared to titanium scales.

It has been a long time since I equated weight with strength, so I really don't get the desire to add weight to a pocket knife. I treasure my titanium Military, but I never carry it.

I Ti up a lot of Spydies...
