Recently bought another Endura. It does not have a screw to losen up the blade to make one hand opening faster. Is there a way to get the blade to open more smoothly? This is my third Spyderco. I have a Endura (older modle) with serrated blade that is in bad shape, A Catcherman,Bird Rescue, and two Ladybug Salts on order. Starting to feel like a Spydeho. Also need to know how does the Endura compare to the Para Military? Thinking of one of those to add to collection.

I would say lube, lots of it. If you can get a syringe so you can better apply it, all the nooks and crannies.

The endura is similar in size to the para 2, I have owned both, (lost my endura :( ) and the Paramilitary 2 is a far, far superior knife.

I have owned a few knives in my day and I can say the Para and Military are the finest. Absolutely fantastic. Buy one of both, you will not be disappointed.

Use the heck out of it with some good grease on the pivot and it should loosen up. No need to neglect your poor endura just because you are getting a Para 2, that Endura has a lot blade in a light package :-)
