Well its not THAT old, but its a JS knife. I purchased this knife at some point early this year here on the forum (thanks Eli) and it had been carried before and needed a few details fixed. I just got it back from Rodrigo who did a full refurb (including refining some lines, slimming down areas to fit the stag better and re etching). Even the stag scales seem to match better. He did a great job and I just wanted to post crappy pics I took. This JS knife is like new again and looks great on display. Thanks Rodrigo! BTW, I know its not a typical chute shape but its a beauty.

hey Jon -- you have now had/have both the Chutes that RS made and this one is not old but was made maybe a year or less before mine as they were ordered about the same time. Mine was different because I wanted traditional Chute styling and also hollow ground and this one was originally owned by Paul Kessler. Things don't go far afield eh.

Jon just curious, did Rodrigo replace the stag scales?
I just ask because they seem darker than I remember them.

Very nice chute-knife.

Nice score.

Kind regards,

Jos

Kevin, I am pretty sure they are the same. I am not sure how he treated them but he was able to darken them and get both sides matching. Before one side was whiter then the other.

Damn but if every knife that guy makes isn't a gem!

What I really appreciate about his knives is that every element is finished off to the Nth degree to yield a coherent whole.

Yes, I am jealous.
