older style barrel-nuts

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems from what I've seen that the older sebenzas (or maybe just the regulars) came with screws/barrel-nut sets where only the non-lock side had the allen wrench slot and the lock side was just a smooth domed head. Is is possible to get these aftermarket or from CRK to put on my 21's? Thanks.

I would send an email to CRK. I am pretty sure these were on the classics and 21 models as well as the regulars.

I don't think they were ever on the 21. My '93 Sebenza had then as well as all my Regulars.

They were definitely on the earlier 21s. I had one.

I would be interested if they still have any to sell. I very much prefer them.

I emailed them today and got a prompt response. They don't use them anymore, and therefore don't have any to sell. Unfortunately, they also don't know of any aftermarket vendor.

Not surprising - they simply used up the existing inventory and transitioned to the new part.

I'll chime in on the 21s - I have several with the old style hardware.

That is a good question and I am searching myself for one that fit the Mandi newer style where the cilp it one part of the assembly.
I'd be grateful for any hint.

PS.: I know CRK and have already asked and received - you know how it goes there is need for more...

I don't suppose that anyone knows of any aftermarket hardware that could be used on sebenzas?

I'd be surprised if thre were a source for small numbers of these. You could always buy an older used Seb, swap the hardware and resell it. :o
