On older folders, about when did Camillus STOP putting stamps on both blades. Got a couple of oldies that I'm guessing to be pre 1920 that have multiple stamping(smaller blade has curved stamp).

The listings in Goins imply that the change to mark only one balde would have been 1941, but I suspect that it was not that clean. The listings in Goins also suggest that knives marked with the curved marking on the small blade would have been 1915-1916. Of course, you should read the knife because the markings are not the only way to date the knife, and the markings can be misleading.

I have several that I know date before 1940 and several that I believe to be before 1930 that have only one tang stamp. Just recently got a small 4 blade equal end with all blades stamped " Camillus Cutlery Co. Camillus NY" in three lines with no "USA" stamp--I have no idea as to age. Will post a pic when I figure out how to do it.

How dating this knife?

Looks like a Signal Corps electricians knife from the 1920's or possibly WW I. I have a civilian version without the sheild. This was the predecessor of the TL-29.
