Hey there,
I have decided to cull my collection by going with the lowly balisongs I have and working my way up. Please email me for more pics. I don't have the best camera, nor am I the best photographer, but I'll do the best I can.
Prices do not include shipping. If you will pay for shipping, I'll include delivery confirmation for no extra charge. Paypal to cover fees. Shipping to USA only.
I'm gonna post links to the pictures, since pics on this site come up sporadically. FHM means Philippino Hand Made. Substitute the F for P as needed.
The first is this lovely Indian head balisong.
It's used, bakalite handle inserts with some damage, over brass liners. I've never seen another one like it. Aluminum latch. Carbon steel blade. Probably 1930's-40s' era. Locks up tight open and closed. Not much of a flipper, but a unique historical piece. Probably 1950-60$60
Next is a FHM Philippino Hand Made Balisong with what seems to be buffalo horn inserts over brass with many aluminum rivets. The handle aluminum latch locks up solid both open and closed. Damaged horn, etc. Probably 1940-50 $20
Next is a FHM with solid brass slabs over brass liners. This Nice balisong has a utility blade of 4 inches, and brass handles with copper pins. Probably 1950-60. $50
Then I have a unpictured FHM with brass liners, and wood slabs over that, and brass liners over them. The 4 1/2 inch blade has wings on the ricosso.
It locks up tight open and closed. There is much patina on the blade and handles, but no damage. Probably 1945-50 $60
Next is the Jeans knife marked Inox Italy. This really isn't a flipper since it has a liner spring catch on each handle. It's pretty interesting tho.. $35
How about a balisong that has the wave pattern Zamack handles, chromed , that has never been latched open. I can't since there have never been latch cannels to accept the tang pin. It's marked Rostfrei which is generic for stainless. I'll let this go for $15
How abot a Valor, Seki Japan Mandarin with no inserts! The blade has been sharpened, but it's 3/16ths thick. something you don't see in balisongs today. The blade itself is worth re-handleing. $20
Next is the prize of them all!!!
The lovely Gutmann Chinese Cheapy. This knife is represented in the second edition of the Balisong Manual. I'll let this prize go for $2
Next is the Valor Knuckleblade, And goddamit, I have two of these.
If you want the one without the box, I'll let it go for $40. If you want the mintier one with the box, I'll let it go for $70
OK, that's all I can do for tonight.
Let me know.
I'll be updating tomorrow.
