Forget about the lastest greatest knife you just got.
What is the oldest knife you have?

Let us know how you got it.

Was it something that has been in your family for years?
Did you get it from a knife show, online, garage sale?

ha! Wow....i was JUST thinking of starting this exact same thread....weird

My oldest is a USMC Kabar my dad gave me.....no, he didn't serve but he got it way back in the 60's or 70's...I don't think he got it new either.

Two come to mind. A 1918 US issue Trench knife (Brass knuckle, spiked end) that my dad brought back from WWII...Been in the family longer than I have....

My first really cool pocketknife, SAK Tinker. Bought it in a little knife shop at Ala Moana Mall in Honolulu when I was about 12.

Hey, my first post, cool... I have a couple of old original George Wostenholme I*XL's (1800's), a little office knife with ivory scales, and a silver handled gentlemens knife, and I have a "Case and son, Bradford PA" 3 blade stockman, estimated date of 1909-1912? I also have a Wade and Butcher straight razor, from the late 1800's, I used to love the oldies.

Wakizashi by the "Nio" school during the muromachi period ca 1500. Also have a 6 inch blade hamidashi fully mounted from ca 1890.

I have a old bayonet..not really sure where it came from or where its been, but its old for sure. ^___^:;

I have a MOP RH Boker from the 1850's and a Wostenholme tortoise shell straight razor, also from the 1850's. Both were gotten from E-Bay as were 70% of my antiques. You used to be able to find real good deals on E-Bay.

The oldest I think I own is this Case Pen Knife I believe is from the 20's.

I picked up my oldest at a garage sale for a few bucks. It isn't marked and is well sharpened. The blade is 9 1/2" and overall the knife is 14 1/4" and is 1 1/8" wide at the widest point. It came in a homemade hair on deerskin sheath.
