Oldest knives Competition....

This won't be the OLDEST posted here, but it is right at about a century old and still running strong.

Very nice Corey :)

Got this 19th century Abram Brooksbank

Start by asking some of the ol' boys here to show the first knife they received (new) when young, and you'll come close. ;)

The little black case is from the 40's the big Robeson is from '59 or '60. The black o e top right doesn't have a stamp any more but it looks old to me. The stag in the middle tang says F*WARD & Co Sheffield. I dont know how old it is

I've posted this before, it's a bit of a wreck but very early. Rodgers, either William 4th or George 4th circa 1830s quill knife with rare guillotine.

Best regards

I guess I'll just watch. I wasn't "in to" knives until late 1990's so most of mine are youngsters compared to these being shown.

Day-um Fes, every time you show that knife, I can see a couple of gypsy wagons pulled in a circle, campfire burning low, wineskin being passed around, somebody gets insulted and there's a ratcheting...I have an urge to break out the DVD of the old movie "The Pride And The Passion". Some good navaja action in that. Where the hell is that wineskin?!
:D

I have a sword from the 1700's, would it count if I "choked up" on the grip? ;)

Here's one of my oldest a 1912-1914 Union Knifeworks Moose Pattern, I've posted this before so I just copied and pasted the bulk of the post, also have an old 1800s lobster pattern and an old 1920s Case Equal End Pen, (pre Eisenhower), I'll hafta dig up pics of the other 2 but here's the Union Knifeworks Moose,

There's something to be said about repurposing a 100 year old pocket knife.
Found this UNION KNIFEWORKS Moose Pattern with a broken blade a couple of years ago.

This puppy has plenty of walk and talk F&F are fantastic considerin' the age and the fact that the Backsprings and Bolsters are Steel, I paid a few $ for it, maybe $3 or $4, I cleaned it up and reground the broken blade into a box cutter, this puppy holds an unbelievable edge and just feels so right in my hand.

Here's a few pics to share, enjoy.
