Well, it has been almost 2 1/2 years since I have made a sidekick! The SideKick is a smaller version of my "Companion" Pattern.

I always felt it was a good smaller knife but wanted to be a tad larger in the handle area. I never changed this to keep the size to a minimum.

This knife is 1 of 2 that my man Henk will be getting to go overseas in the spring with. He has a larger Companion and asked for the sidekick and the "Caper Companion" as well.

Knowing I hadnt liked the handle size on the SideKick for sometime now, I figured what the hell....change it!

So here she is........dont hand specs on it. I'll have to get that later tomorrow. Handle is Micarta left rough since this will be used in action where slippage is a no no.

And here is the Caper Companion for a more - "Stabby" knife if need be.

Thanks Ray. These are my LMT toys :). They're in for a slight makeover once a few parts come in next week. Nothing major. The upper on the right is LMT and I had the bushy lower. The left is all LMT :)

Its an aimpoint Comp M3 on a Larue mount. Non magnified red dot. Fast and easy :)

Brian, nice knives, of course, but what kind of sling is on the rifle on the left? I think I'm going to bite the bullet and buy an AR-15 this week. My choices are basically a DPMS AP4, which has a 16" barrel, flat upper and removable handle/sight so I can upgrade down the road (I'd like to put a scope on it and then use an offset Burkett mount for a red dot), or a previously owned (but never shot) Bushmaster XM-15, which has a 14.5" barrel with 2" pinned flash suppressor and a chromed barrel, but the receiver has the built-in handle making putting a scope on it impossible. Advice? The Bushmaster would be $850, the DPMS $925.

Its a vickors sling. Check out gandrtactical.com

Not sure what to do about your choices. I'd opt for waiting and getting an LMT out of the gate but that's just me. My bushy carry handle upper is sitting in my gun cabinet as a backup.

Whatever you get invest in a better bolt assembly bravo company (when there back in stock). One of the first things to go bad on a comercial type AR15 but you can put in better parts to make the rifle better so its an improved gun. If you don't shoot it much just get what you can find. Also, you can get on the wait list at bravo company for one of there guns. I'd opt for ordering from a dealer but I get picky and very OCD(henderson defence in NV got my LMT).

For those interested in a black rifle update............AINT SO BLACK NOW:thumbup:

Now I have to rework the other one to wear the LMT MilSpec SOPMOD Stock and Black Magpul MIAD Grip.

Glad the local shop lets me borrow their spanner wrench for changing the Receiver Tube:thumbup:

I'm seriously thinking about doing-up my .308 with some stained and sealed raunchy looking rawhide. Maybe a wrap of leather here and there with some bone skull beads :D

Still wouldn't look as tacky as THAT though :D

I'm kidding B~ ,Looks pretty cool.

I dont know Mark....the rawhide might be a new fad!! Go for it :)

Awesome. I've always liked your Companion model, the wide blade packs some mean cutting in a small package.
