Recently picked up an Original style Sebenza, (my second) It has the "P" to the right of the CR logo and a nicely finished high polish ATS34 blade. I have always been fond of the ATS versions and this one is in excellent condition for a late 80's model.
This early Seb has no clip and also has the old style thumb lug which is smooth on top and grooved only on the bottom.
One other notable feature is the 2 washers made of Nylatron, both being of identical diameter. Nylon washers were used prior to the phosphor bronze
used on the current model. With the currently improved CRK models like the "21" and the Umnumzaan getting all the attention, it's nice to see where it all started.

I took a few quick photos but it was raining here.

P's are a real treasure, and a major part of cutlery history. Congrats on the find!

I love my numbered P, the grinds on it are amazing

I was also lucky to get all the paperwork and box with mine

but I have to get some better photos

I thought the P marked sebenzas were from the early to mid 90s? Mine is from 1992 and I believe the numbered came before just the P marking.

You know I think you are correct, according to the reeve time-line sticky at the top of this forum, the large original was made from 1991 - 1996.
