They're discontinued and BHQ had a single purple one left in stock, I've heard great things about them and Purple is my mom's favorite color so I snatched it up right away.
The run-time is listed as 1hr, but I don't think it'll necessarily be a battery hog.
I think she's probably going to love it.
Of only they had two because that's also my grandmother's favorite color, it's for the best though because getting everyone the same thing shows less thought.

One of the best small lights out there. It will last about an hour and fifteen minutes on a lithum before staging down and over two hours before fading down again. I can't believe they are discontinuing them.

I think it may be because they came out with a newer version.

That runtime sounds decent considering it's size, I think my mom will be pretty happy with it.

They came out with a new compact light, but not a comparable new model to this one. This was a light that would appeal to everyone, the new version is not.

Well that's a shame, I've thought about possibly buying their current equivalent but it doesn't sound like I'd like it.

I have also realized that while my recently purchased Maglite Solitaire LED is a little longer with less lumens, it has been plenty bright enough and with how often I use my lights the run-time has been great.
I think I personally would run down the olight too frequently.

I think what most consider to be the next generation is the I3T EOS which is 180 lumens and tail clicky. Not that it doesn't have more features, but its larger by quite a bit and not as simple as this model. You might like it fine IDK, I just meant its hard to have a light like this one thats about the size of the AAA battery that goes in it, pushes 100 lumens, and lasts over an hour, thats all. Its competitors in the same size are Thrunite, and maratac but those are multimode lkghts. The I3T EOS I mentioned is in another class with the microstream and other tail clicky lights.

I don't like modes or tail clickers, so it's not for me.
I like what I've got so I'll go ahead and stick with it.

I carry one in my pocket every day. It's a great light. IIRC I paid $9 for it at a gun show.

I got a I3E when I ordered my S2R II a few weeks ago. I've actually used the I3E more than more than the S2R II. Such a handy little light.

I was surprised at how small it really is, it's an AAA light that's not much bigger than an AA battery.

I do like my led Maglitre Solitaire ( which I forgot today and needed it once ) , but I do have to give credit for how much smaller they made it and how many lumens they packed in such a small package.
I really hope my mom loves it.
If not she can trade gifts with my grandmother who's favorite color is always purple and who I actually inherited my love of flashlights from.

Get you a copper one flr the keychain before they quit making it.

I don't do a keychain, but they are a classy little light for sure.
When I have a flashlight on me I tend to use it all the time and I'd probably run through batteries.

Maybe I'll have to buy one anyways.
