This is my latest effort, a group of rustic knives made to work.
They are entirely handmade from an Olive Burl of a tree old at least 300 years.

Blade are from 5cm (2") for the necker to 7,5cm (3") for the largest. Very usable, they are made from O2 carbon steel and brass fittings over this gorgeous Olive Burl.

Cheers!

Did you cut down the tree?? I dont know why but Italian olive burl seems to be more interesting/beautiful than other olive burls-even though they are from the same genus. Nice Work-Marekz

beautiful! I like the one with the dark knot the best. I like that you left the scale on the blades. Looks great

Of course I saw this old old olive tree.
It's hard to find something useable in olive root, but when finding is sucessful there is almost nothing comparable. Believe me.
And it's also very oily tree so you can finish as well in a very fashionable way.
cheers and thanks
