how rare are these knives. i just got a japanese model endura which is an very early endura. the scallops on the serrations are not as high on my early american models.i like the box and paper work it shows how to open a spyderco with one hand and some early models including the diver.. sal any help? spyderco for life...ceya..
 
Hi Ceya One. We made the "Olive Drab" versions of Endura & Delica about 1991. Initially, dealers had asked for it, but sales were poor so they were retired about a year or two later, along with the red Endura.

thanks sal that is why i a total spyder head..semper fi...ceya..i hope that i get the chance to see you and your family again at a knife show..last time was 1992 OR 1995 NYC EAST COAST KNIFE SHOW AND PAUL'S SHOW..
 
Ah, the red endura. My favourite! Wish there were more... (hint, hint)

Of course, there won't be since red is now the trainer colour, but still, coloured enduras would be stellar!

I carry a Delica everyday and I just recently discovered colored Spyderco knives. Never knew the Delica came in blue. I'm going to get one to carry in the field. Currently I carry a red SOG autoclip when I'm going to be on the water or in the woods in case it gets dropped. Now with a blue Delica I can keep with the same knife no matter where I go.

Pretty cool.
