My wife found an extra jar of olives in the pantry.

You know what that means...

Guyon,

One thing about Tito's is that I don't get hangovers.

Did you notice that?

I need to go ride for a while before I can drink.

A couple of my uncles claim that good corn liquor doesn't give you hangovers. Tito's is a corn-based vodka. Maybe they're onto something?

Darn Docs won't let me drink enough anymore to find out!!

I'm still 'in the market' for second-hand experience, though! :D

[Don't recall getting headaches from good quality Bourbon or good single malt Scotch, though...]

Hey, Guyon!

Absolutely wonderful score! And I thank you for the suggestion of Tito's; my local liquor store is obtaining a bottle for me to sample!
:D:D:D

A girl needs a knife....and I want a Hell Razor!!

That first one went down quite nicely.

I think it's time for another.

I'm out of Tito's, Grey Goose, and Belevedere:grumpy:.....

Good thing I have that 1.5 Ltr jug of Skyy:thumbup::D

I just arrived back in Peru last night and not a drop in the liquor cabinet here, quite a contrast to my liquor cabinet back in Canada. The olives here are fantastic... especially the ones stuffed with fiery hot chili peppers, they would probably go great with vodka... almost a "Prairie Fire" (vodka and tabasco straight-up).

I know it's no fun to be technical, but hangovers are caused by the dehydration that is caused by alcohol in any form.

It has to do with how much you drink, how drunk you are when you go to sleep, and how much water or you took in while drinking.

You can thwart the hangover almost every time just by forcing down as much water as you can before bed.

You're absolutely right.

I think that is one cause and the main caise. The other are things like sulfides in red wine and other things that may not technically cause a hangover but do cause headaches. Beer gest me every time just two! Also California red wine will and French reds do not. So let me rephrase….

Guyon did you notice you can drink a boatload of Tito’s and not wake up with a headache?

I just woke up after drinking half a bottle, and I feel great!

I think it's restorative somehow. Magic juice.

That must have been the "Texas juice" Armstrong was on for his seven Tours de France.

Speaking of cycling, what's the biker's inside perspective on what'll happen to old Floyd? Saw where he came in second in a mountain bike race, despite a crash.

Landis also underwent hip replacement surgery in September and participated in an often-bizarre arbitration hearing in May that will determine whether he gets to retain his Tour title.

What was bizarre about the hearing? I only keep up with cycling sporadically, but I am interested in what becomes of Floyd. I read an article about him in Outside magazine a couple months before he won the Tour de France. Then, I was stunned to hear about the doping positives. Just didn't seem in character, but then, I don't know the guy personally.

I know two guys that have known Floyd for many years. They also think he just is not the kind of guy that would dope.

His case is kind of stupid in that what he tested possitive for isn't what you'd take in order to recover and do well in that race. That stuff also doesn't leave your body for weeks and it is well known that it shows up in tests. So why would you take the stuff and then go win a stage of the TDF and take the lead, when both the stage winner and the tour leader are tested every day?

What is bizarre about the hearings is that they go on and on and never give an answer.

This year's Tour leader never did test positive. His team released him when they found that he didn't show for a regularly scheduled Team dope test at some time in the past year.

So the TDF is kind of a mess right now.
