Hey guys, I've been away from the forum for a while, but haven't been away from old steel! Here's what I've been up to since I've been gone.

You've been a busy fella. Bunch of nice hangs there. Excellent grind work, too. The hafts of those Jersey's are impressive, especially the second one.

Lookin good in here. Is there some weird shape to the eye on that last one or just a picture illusion? Nice job filling that in if so.

Thanks for the kind words everyone. The first jersey pic was an in process picture. They are all the same jersey. Its a plumb stamped 3-1/2, but cliser to 3-3/4 hung on a 30" handle. It's going to be used in junction with a saw for bucking and driving wedges, as well as more serious bucking doing trailwork later this year.

The rafting pattern with the "weird eye" has an interesting ridge near the back of the eye to better secure the haft. It's a collins.

Beautiful refurbs! That rafting pattern Collins has a looonnggg bit. And your profiling looks fantastic...that's the next skill I need to figure out.

looks great! Especially enjoy that you let the natural characteristics come through!

More of the collins legitimus cruiser(along with some $350 Danners I scored at an REI garage sale for $35) 👍

And my favorite axe to date... My grandfathers 4 pound plumb victory, hung on a 36" heartwood haft. She's a thing of beauty, and the best steel I have ever come across.

That Plumb Victory is a pretty piece of steel Olybear. Nice work on the edges too.

Being put to use no less! Those are some fine looking tools. Edges on them show some time spent for sure.

Pegs, the rafting pattern is by far and away my favorite. Spent a lot of time grinding her thin, and boy does it show. It bites at such small angles and sends chips better than any of the others.
