Hi guys, this is the very first offerings from OMEGA Leather!

Before I get to the sheaths, I want to thank a few people, bear with me (or scroll down ;) ). First, thanks to Andy Roy for giving me the opportunity to sell in this forum. I'm truly honored by the welcome and trust. Next, I want to thank Diomedes Industries. You had the biggest hand in re-igniting my passion for leather work. Thanks to all of the seriously talented sheath makers here, especially Rick Lowe, Paul Long, Dwayne Puckett and Dave Ferry. All those emails and pm's were totally necessary and I hope I can do work as well as you one day. Ya'll are what I want to be when I grow up.

Lastly, thanks to the Fiddlebackers! You guys make this the best little corner on BF. :)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

OMEGA Leather is made using the finest materials that I can find. U.S. tannery leathers, European and American threads, the highest quality dyes, finishes and chemicals, and high quality (tough!!) hardware.

Note: OMEGA Fire Steels (either purchased separately, or as a part of a sheath package), include a REAL Shelby U.S.A. made P-38 can opener for use as the steels striker. Why? Because Shelby P-38 are just too cool. ;) Handles are handmade, steel is mischmetal and will last a long time.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Today I have 4 sheaths for sale. These will fit all 4" bladed Fiddlebacks, although the Ladyfinger will be swimming in the sheath so I don't recommend these for the LF.

This is my personal sheath. The Kephart will fit the same in all sheaths above, other 4 inchers will be similar. It's a deep pouch design.

Haha, thanks my friend. I don't think you have anything to worry about.

For the record, one of the reasons why I have so much respect for guys like you, and Andy, oh, Skyler (Skystorm) is another good example, is because you recognize that there is room for everyone that goes about this responsibly.

Yep, congrats Strig on the move to sheath businessman. You've got talent man!

Thank you, that means a lot to me. :)

towntrader, your sheath ships today!

I have a couple of Black Magic Strops today.

These are the very best strops that I've used! Let me tell you, I've made and used more than my share. :)

So what makes a Black Magic Strop better? Glad you asked. As with all OMEGA products, it's in the leather. There are few applications for chrome tanned leather when it comes to knives. I'd certainly never use it for sheaths as the salts can damage steel when in contact for long periods. Most strops, for that, or other reasons, are made using veg tanned leather. Not Black Magic. These use chrome tanned because it can be made SUPER soft, and in the case of these examples, extreamly thin. If you want soft (you do), you are also going to need it very thin. Ever notice that a thick leather strop can blunt the apex? BM strops mimic a stone, but have the refining properties of a strop. Lastly, the nap on these is super short. Just long enough to grab and hold the compound. Many people prefer the grain side up, the BM strops give you the best attributes of both sides.

But that's not all. BM strops have a slot cut at the top.

This slot is placed so that a piece of wet/dry sandpaper can be used on the back of the strop when you need a little more aggression. Slide a piece of paper in the slot, fold it over the back and use like a stone.

NOTE- Strops come with your choice- Pre-loaded with "green" Chromium Oxide compound, White custom made compound (from a Pro Knifemaker), this is a bit more aggressive than the green stuff and was originally designed for wood carving knives and tools, or bare, for those that wish to use their own favorite CBN, Diamond or other abrasive. No charge for pre-loaded abrasive.

Prices-

9" (.75"x2.5")Black Magic Bench Strop $15 shipped

6" (.75"x2.5") Black Magic Field Strop $12 shipped

Thanks for looking!

Thank you gentlemen, I really appreciate your feedback!

I'll be adding another Basket Weave sheath in this thread in a little while, stay tuned.

Get them knives on your hip today guys! They don't work as well if you ain't carrying them! ;)

Alright guys, I currently have one more sheath to offer.

This sheath was built while I was testing design features. It has a double row of stitches, a design I likely won't do again soon. I am offering this one at a discount as the stitching on the back isn't as nice as I'd have liked. The sheath is 100% functional and looks fine from the front. All I ask if you buy it is that you advertise it as a "blem", or "second" should you ever decide to let it go.

The leather is premium Hermann Oak, and was chemically blackened with vinegaroon. The little white spots in the pic are just unmelted wax.

Price- sold!

Thanks for viewing!
