Finally got my Omega Seamaster 2 days ago.
Went to the shop and couldn't decide which one i'd choose. I really wanted co-axial so i chose the Planet Ocean. For once i also got something newly released. So i'm happy about that.
Then i had to decide whether i should go with the orange one or just the plain black one. The orange PO actually looked quite alright but i thought i should go conservative for my first automatic watch which i'll be using for graduation, interviews, etc.
After i settled on the black i had to choose the size. First i tried the 42mm. It looked quite small but felt alright on my wrist. Then i tried the 45mm. HEAVY!!!. But looked awesome on my wrist. Well, i tried it on for a few minutes to see whether i'd get used to the weight and after awhile it felt quite comfortable. So i chose the 45mm.
I'm new to fine watches so i have no idea how well it keeps time 'cept that it is about a second faster than my Tag Heuer quartz after about half a day. I don't think i'll be doing any complex accuracy measurements. I'm happy just looking at the second hand sweep by not having to think whether it's that accurate.
One thing i do find with this watch is that the bracelet is really well made. Feels comfortable and the finishing is superb.
However, i think i've already put my first scratch on the glass. ehehe...i'm not sure how it got there but it isn't noticeable and you can't actually see it if you're looking straight on the dial. It's only a light scratch you can see at certain angles and under certain lights which makes me think it's just a scratch to the anti-reflective coating. Whatever, it is still annoying the hell out of me.
Anyway, here are some pictures of it.
Sorry about the picture quality. I haven't bothered to use a tripod and i'm terrible at resizing.
