Gathering materials for a salt pot forge and I found out about these temp/processor controllers from Omron. They hook up between the thermocouple and a solenoid to control the temperature of your furnace. Has anyone had any experience with this brand or other brands they might be able to share.

Here's the URL for the controllers:

They are real good. I have the omega controllers. I like um because of the customer service. I think they are very simular.
Try to get a controller with a ramp up and down for annealing and heat treating when you buy!

As stated before on this forum, I am a part time maker and my "day job" is in process control. If any of you folks have any questions on any features of the controllers
available today, I am more than happy to try to answer them. I'll try not to bore anyone with any technical jargon.

The following is a site of some of the controllers that my company makes.....

I use an E5CK Omron connected to an old electric heat treating furnace that had manual rotary control. It works great. I had to buy a sensor (R range I believe) and a relay. Easy to hook up and the local Omron distributor was great in helping me with my questions.
