on a buck 103a what does the a mean? thanks

i have searched and not been able to find out what the a designation means…any idea? thanks

Welcome to the Buck forum! The symbol next to the model number is the date code for the year the knife/blade was made. You will find a date code sticky at the top of the Buck forum page. take a look and come back and tell us what year your knife was made.

Upside down 'V' (1988) looks like a capital 'A' if you don't look closely.

It could have a dot in the V... I have a few... <dot ... and it's look like a A sideway... :eek:

Needs pics.... :)
 
Had a couple of 525's with the upside down V with a dot in the middle. It looks like an A. I have never seen a 103 with it though.
