On a Roll.....Yet Another Interesting Find.

Yes.....and here's the good thing (which maybe you already guessed).

It has the wrong knife, but I have a mint knife for the box........I'm just hoping the box will work with a Three-Dotter.

Should be the same time-frame, but I gotta do a little checking. What do you think?

(?)

I checked and my 3 dot and 4 dot utilized the same box which is the one pictured . Paperwork looks correct as well . What was the knife ? Seller called it a FG . He may not know what finger grooves are . Dave, I didn't know the 80's paperwork was worth that .
Thanks . Good buy . DM

Oh, I think I'm done for a while, ITE.......spent the grocery money for next week.

:D

And thanks, DM.......I was thinking that the time period would have to be about right.

Now I have a mint 112 Fingergroove Three-Dotter with box and all!! Oh me, oh my......never thought I'd have that.

:)

(Even better.......I have a near-mint 112 Fingergroove Three-Dotter with no sheath......so now I'll have a sheath for that one.)

Besides, all that, I got a nice spare 112 Four-Dotter out of the deal.

Mama Mia......I'm getting the vapors.

Good pick up. I ran across one like it the other day with FG. Like others I could use the box.

humm had that been a 110
i would have counted part of my bid for jest the paper work at 25$
if it had been paper work alone i would have bid 20 to 25 jest for it
and most times i am a tad behind what others will pay..
but yes had it been a 110 would have bid 35 to 40
bg did good
by brother could have used that for his collection
what that does is makes it a 'investment' grade buy
were when we are gone that the kids can sell it for a lot more
as it is "complete" as sold new knife and set
some wont buy except that way that i have seen
but yes dave
paper work by it self many times will not be bid to that at all
but he made a very good buy IMHO ..
one of the paper work knolage bank persons that should be commenting
is buck 110 .. he knolage base is very detailed
Joe is working on getting the paper details collected
and
Buck 110 could add him a lot in his quest to get it all togeather//
humm any one seen Buck 110 lately?

By the way...The sheath IS correct for a FG model..MIB FG 112's do NOT show up that often on E;bay.. you did get a real bargain!

I just took another look at the listing and there was a anomaly...I have NEVER seen the bottom -right paper insert in ANY Buck 112 box of any year...So it MUST be odd,or is it???Will the true Buckophiles chime in and tell us what that paper insert is?? I've never seen it period!

Thanks a lot Bucksway and Dave (s) for the comments.

Like Bucksway, I too would like to hear more about that odd bit of literature pictured. Is it advertising kitchen knives?

Was it only a part of the literature for a very short time?

Has Joe seen it before?

Here you go BG and Bucksway.... The paper insert is for there Moderne Kitchen Cutlery... The paper insert comes with all kind of different Buck knives this one is out of my 422 box... But I have them in other Bucklites and other knives... I have one I think in a 110 and 112 box too... Why, I don't know but that's the way I got them... ITE ...

Here some pics of the literature (insert)...

Thanks, ITE.......that's cool.

Would this likely have been in 1980, 81, 82 packages?

I used to not care if I received any box, paperwork or sheath....It came to me that when I'm gone SOMEBODY will be buying at least a few of my 112's and there really worth more with all the goodies!
