On a roll.....

Thanks for the tip!

I don't need one but I will probably buy one anyway.

Laci Szabo has been collaborating with Mosier for a while now (see his site for models) but this Boker is definitely a more cost effective option for those of us who want good working knives and not expensive fighters. Not that there's anything inherently wrong with the latter...

I love globalism.

The Boker/Mosier knife is produced by a company in Germany that was designed by an American and made from Swedish steel by a Chinese manufacturer.

I find out about it on the internet and also find out that an online store with a good price ($51 roughly) is physically located 20 minutes from my work. I took a long lunch and paid them a visit.

This knife is a true Mosier. The blade design seems like a mix between a mini-santoku and a utility sheepsfoot blade. It's very tall, with a tall flat grind, and the signature textured/multicolored micarta handles that David puts on a lot of his blades.

An excellent piece for sure and well worth the ridiculously low price. Good job Boker!!

LoL

Dont tell me that.

Sorry. I'll tell you a few more things too... ;)

This model is called the Trigonaut. I had to find that on David's site, because Boker doesn't seem to be advertising it by its real name.

The handles are sculpted G10, not micarta. I learned that from David's site too. I had my suspicions anyway (they have that "glassy" look and are fairly heavy).

Finally, the blade looks a lot like the new Spyderco PPT. It could be argued which is a better knife, but I love the Mosier and have two of them now. I paid $108 for them both, including tax, and no shipping since I bought them locally. This is quite a bit less than the PPT and far less than a custom Trigonaut from David, which would look and perform the same.

They are now being used in the knife training portion of my martial arts class. I am definitely getting my money's worth!

received my Rhino this week and have to say it is a sweet package.

I added a small teklok to the sheath and found the sheath retention to be tight, too tight.

No problem though as a quick file with the leatherman and a cycle of about 20 inserts/ removes its much much better.

Thanks Boker for the chance to get as close to a custom as i can.

Boker, you are on a roll with some great collaborations with custom makers. :)
I completely agree. The new Krein, Mosier and Kressler collaborations from Boker Plus look fantastic. As you said, TiNi, Boker is clearly on a roll. The question is, are they on a ship yet?

When are these great collaborations going to start showing up in quantity on dealer's shelves, Terry? Or has the Great Recession taken a bite out of Boker production and slowed manufacturing to a crawl? :(

I have not heard anything on the Krein, and as soon as I do, I will post it.
For the Rhino, we have shipped out hundreds of them, so they have been out there. We are expecting more soon, and will ship them as soon as we can.

Super Duper. Now with respect to the Kressler Subhilt, is it July yet? Or should we change the delivery estimate to "two weeks"? ;) ("Two weeks" is a standing joke in the Busse community. It means "we have no idea how long it's going to take"!)

The Grasshoppers are already in stock... in Germany.

We are still waiting for the Pocket Bowie and the Kressler.
