Today is a day to honour all fathers, those still with us, and those who have passed on.

I miss my dad, I can tell you that. Happy Father's Day, oh members of the grandest fraternity on the earth.
 
yup, i miss my dad too, he was the smartest and bestus dad i eber had :cool:

and congrats to all you other dads out there, do any of you have any good nut recipes? :confused: :rolleyes: ;)

HAPPY FATHERS DAY!!!

I was going to call at 05:00 this morning and be the first one to wish him a happy fathers day, but his selfish cat will have him up at 05:45, figured I'd let him go back to sleep until noon :)

I'm lucky enough to still have my Dad with me, almost lost him three years ago. Here's to another good year for him!
 
I lost my Dad 2 years ago, and really miss him. I`m lucky to have the best wife ever, 3 great daughters, 2 fine son in laws, and 3 fantastic grandchildren to share my day with. I consider myself to be very lucky.

My dad passed away in 1987. . . . Still think about him and talk to him everyday. . . Here's a toast to all of you fathers out there!!! :cool: :D

My stepdaughter was over to wish me a happy Father's Day and tell me she thinks of me as more of a dad then her real father. He tends to forget her birthdays, doesn't visit or show any interest in her life. I can see she is hurt.
So if any of you dad's are at odds with your kids, please let it go! Get in touch with them and tell them you love them. Don't wait for them to call, do it first.

Another Happy fathers day to everyone.. very touching thread.
Hope everyone had a great day so far... Mine was cool besides we all came down with head colds yesterday.. but I still woke up to my 2 (almost 3) year old daughter saying happy daddy's day with a cute card she colored on and all sniffle faced.. My wife is getting me a new sheath from On/scene Tactical for my edc M16-04!!!!!! I was wanting one anyway but she said she would get it for me for fathers day .. that is pretty cool and better than socks..;) anyway you guys have a good one and give your selves a great big pat on the back for doing such a great job at being a dad.. it is one hell of a job!

I was gonna say that my dad died 18 years ago on Fathers Day. It will always be a special day.

I miss the hell outta him.

If I could say something better I would, but I cannot. That goes for everyone that has lost a loved one. Mike, I cannot imagine what that would be like.
