I just ordered my first RC3 in desert and I can't wait to see what all the fuss is about. I can see ordering a RC4 in the near future if I am not careful. I was having a tough time deciding between the two but went with the RC3 just because it looked so handy. Now I am kinda wishing I got the larger heavier blade for camping and general running around the woods. Oh well, it's only money right?
 
Congrats and welcome to the family!

I'm sure the RC-3 will handle most things thrown at it. You may even decide to pair it with something like a RC-6 instead of getting a RC-4.
 
Conrats on your new RC-3! Don't worry, it will be able to handle anything you ask of it.
 
Congrats!! You got a good knife...even if you had ordered the RC-4 you would have eventually got the RC-3 anyway...right??
 
Congrats! When I got my first RAT (RC-4) in October I thought that surely I would “need” an RC-3 because they were fairly similar. Now I have an Izula, 3, 4 and 6. I’m done buying RATs! Okay, maybe an RC-3MIL a spare Izula and an Izula folder when they come out but other than that I’m done! I think….
 
Congrats!! I ordered my first Rat (desert tan RC-3) just before Christmas and I'm hooked.
You'll see what the fuss is about - quality, value, and that indescribable coolness factor!!

Yea, I am pumped but now the suck begins....the wait. By the way, what is the difference between the RC-3 and the RC-3MIL?

The MIL has a different (Canvas instead of linen) micarta, a black blade combined with a light grey/green colored (not green like the "normal" RC3) handle, features a sharpened glass breaker pommel with an engraved serial#, and finally it comes with a complete MOLLE set (MOLLE back and locks) plus boot clip. The color of the sheath system is green instead of that puke...eh coyote brown.
