I prefer these two items right here. They do a tremendous job on Kabars 1095CV. I take the stone to the knife instead of vice versa. Its easier to see how you are hitting the bevel if you hold the knife still and slide the stone across the blade. This stone being long and shaped the way it is makes it pretty safe to sharpen this way. Then I take it to the ceramic rod. Within a few strokes on the ceramic its always back to razor.
