Maybe I just have too much time on my hands but yesterday, while watching Tyrkon's chopping I had an idea. Imagine having contests online. Everyone seems to have digital cameras. Most take a minute or so of video. One could have all sorts of competitions by posting videos. Fastest chopper, sharpest knife, really the possibilities are endless. The rules could be agreed upon and you could have accurate and fair competitions. Even without prizes it would be fun. I cannot find any BF rules that would be broken.
Anyway I was playing with my new ASh-1 and wondering whether I could get through a piece of wood as fast as Tyrkon did in his video. In any case that is my idea.

Im in. Sounds like a great idea. Figure out some categories, diciplines, parameters and such. Keep us updated and Ill play(fair or otherwise).

Seems no one likes the idea. I thought that it could have been fun if we handled it correctly

MY thought was this. Let's say a chopping contest. THere could be a thirty day time limit. Post your best time. ONe entry each that could be updated till the end time. Everyone must use the same knife and same type of wood. Again, for argument's sake, the knife would be a CGASH-1. The wood would be a pine 2X4. Present your equipment then film the chopping. Best time wins. No prize, no money. Bragging rights. If anyone wanted to volunteer a prize I guess that would not violate any rules. I'm gonna atart practicing on my balcony today, just in case this takes off. I think the ASH-1 will make a hellll of a chopper for its size

Im in to, my ASH-1's should be here by then. My one problem is the camera though. Mine only has about a min of video.Im sure I could take down a 2x4 in less than that(i know I can with my machete) but maybe not. I havent even swung an ASH yet. Maybe I can borrow a camera. Ill see what i can do.

Hey, someone remembered. ;) Kill 2 birds with one stone. :D

Can I wear my lucky hat for this?
