? on my rescue 93

I am very happy to have returned from a trip to find my orange handled rescue 93 waiting for me. Since I got to try one of these out in a pass around I have been wanting one and I was thrilled to find a new orange handled veresion. What surprised me is that the blade is fully serrated, right up to the blunt point. I had thought these knives had an inch or so of plain edge at the tip. Am I remembering this wrong or were there different serrated versions?

That was only on the Blue 93mm rescue.

Ok, that explains it cuz that was the pass around knife. It is still a feature I like but even without it I love the ergos on the rescue, thumb ramp is perfect, slim handle is awesome and that fully spyder edged vg10 is wicked.
