Just got this Mora sheath today from Eric of On/Scene Tactical (BF member Normark). It is a vast improvement over the sheaths that come standard with the Moras, and I am very much pleased with it.:thumbup:

I had Eric make this lefty for my GF's Clipper; I no longer have to worry about the knife popping out of her sheath with the slightest jolt. The retention is great, the knife clicks right into place and won't come out without a firm tug. The finish is also excellent, well constructed and tight. There is no thumb-ramp on this sheath to facilitate drawing, but you can use the top of the kydex belt loop in the same way. The sheath does cost more than the knife itself ($22), but I believe the added safety/retention is more than worth it, especially if my GF will be the one carrying it. And if she loses or destroys the knife, I can just use the same sheath for the replacement.

To delay no further, the pics :):

Just wanted to share my excitement with you all. The only complaint I've had about Mora's is the lack of quality in the sheaths; I've finally resolved that.

Eric's sheaths are very solid, clean and have great lock-up. I have a few of them!

I think I'll acquire a few more soon as well :) I've always heard good things about Eric in W&SS, so I'm glad to finally be able to put some work to the name

That really looks good....I've made a leather sheath for my Mora Clipper, but I believe the Kydex and the rubber handle makes for a better combo.

I think so too Rayban, it's a good combo  But there's something to be said for making your own leather sheaths for your own knives :)

To add one small thing to the OP, I just found out that Eric actually puts a little dent near the tip on the back of the sheath to prevent the blade from rattling in the sheath. I only noticed it because I saw some plastic rubbing off on the blade after putting it in and out a few times. I must admit to being entirely new to this concept, and I actually emailed Eric to ask about how I could fix it; I thought it happened during shipping or was a mistake during the process :o:o:o. Fail.

Eric was cool about it and explained it to me. So I just wanted to give him additional kudos for his forethought in making the sheath, and for being patient with a newbie.
