I think that if 'most' of us remember what/why/when/ where we are, and doing what needs to be done we'd have a little more understanding why we need to finish this thing..

Reflecting back to that day I'll just say its a good thing (or is it) that I wasn't president as we wouldn't be searching for benladin or the taliban we'd be trying to piece back the puzzle of the country which once was..
 
And...
This day should NEVER be made into a holiday. A shifting Monday/Friday three day weekend excuse for grilling and swilling beer. It should remain a day of remembrance whether it falls on a Saturday or a Tuesday, that we NEVER forget the attack, nor the hatred and religious intolerance that spawned the attack, which still exists today. It is not only a day to remember, but a day to remember not to let out guard down, ever.
 
Hope we don't but realize we will as long as we continue to show we have no stomach for the war that has been declared on us. We can't even admit we *are* at war.
 
A day of tremendous loss. A country united against a terrible enemy. Victorious in battle on foreign soil. Today, a country divided and the enemy has more rights than our citizens and soldiers.

While I agree with much of the sentiment here, It's getting a little too political for the Becker forum.

We all have strong feelings about, and condemn, terrorism and the cowards who perpetrated the attack on 911. Here, though, let's confine ourselves to remembering the Americans who died on that day, and the brave Americans who worked tirelessly to save as many as possible.

When we start letting it drift into the political realm, then things get heated, and the thread gets shut down.

I think most of you know how I feel about this subject, and it's pretty evident how most of you feel.

Let's keep the politics out of it, okay?
