I have the ability to have a forum page on my website. As a matter of fact, It's ready for me to set up and publish. I'm just not sure if I'll have the time to moderate it. Also will it generate enough people to join to even be worth having. Then I'm concerned about spammers & people causing trouble. What do you think?

My honest vote is for no. But my reasoning is mainly selfish I guess so take it with a grain of salt. I already spend too much time on the forums and am trying to cut back, so I'd prefer not to have another place to frequent...and I would "have to" :).

I know what you mean. I don't go on nearly as many forums as I use too. I just don't have the time working 7 days a week.

I suppose I have time for it...but I need to spend it doing better more productive things...like actually using the knives I have (which I have been doing more of) as opposed to looking on here and deciding I need to save to buy something else :/

I recommend against it.

I think the time invested in running a separate forum would be better spent on other longer-running forums such as here and Bushcraftusa.

You're here where we can find you. I think you should leave well enough alone. A forum will take more of the time that you should be spending living the good life.

I am another one of the people that needs to get off their butt and out in the woods. I am already spending too much time on my phone checking Facebook and Bladeforums. I think it would be a great idea, if you had the time. Talk to Ron La Bella, James Nowka, and Spark, and see what they have to say about how their forums bite into their time (Spark of course owns 1SKS, Ron is a rollback driver, no idea what James does for a living). If it would affect your forum use here, or your Giant or shop schedule or most importantly your wife and home life, I wouldn't do it.

Any free time should be spent up on Hawk Mountain or on your buddy's farm (don't tell Wendy I said that):D:thumbup:;).

I agree. It would be more trouble then it's worth. I think you're generating more business here then you would with your own forum. Bladeforums generates a lot more traffic and you have guys like us who steer people to the "makers" sub-forum.
