ok fellers and fellerettes -

whats on the grill(for those down under its called a barbie)

i have boneless turkey breast that is marinated in balsamic vinegar ,fresh garlic ,olive oil, salt pepper, crushed bay leaves -

cut a few slits into the breast before you marinate for a day at least -take the juice and cook down with a little butter till its kinda thick and pour over the turkey as you grill it-

agh i love these threads....

Me: rib eye steak marinated in molasses garlic powder, and IG's HT ing Relish.

the wife: a Salmon steak rubbed with dill, lemon juice, and just a touch of cayenne pepper. Cooked slow on a wet ceder plank.

served up with home grown mashed potato's, and garlic bread

Hot dogs!

But not the crappy ones. Good, big, juicy sausages, maybe merguez, in a baguette with strong dijon mustard.

And of course... beer. Probably blonde beer with that.

Did you guys ever tried shrimps on the grill? Better than any other cooking method.

I have a hankering for some ribs sometime this weekend.
Texas Pepper Jelly's Pineapple Habanero Pepper jelly painted on, then Tx BBQ Original Rub, smoke 4 hrs with mesquite fire, then sauce with KC Masterpiece, and smoke another hour or so. Serve with beans and mushrooms, smoked, with butter and Adobo seasoning.
YUuuuummmmmmmmmmm

today it was 3 pork chops and 3 spicy sausage dogs.

cooked "low and slow"...

Let's see...
2 ground tops...actually I grind new york, spencer and filet mignon.
onions on the side and mushrooms sauted with fresh herbs and garlic.
half a dozen filet, about the same of new yorks and spencers.
Almost forgot the pork chops.

It was a slow night for a saturday at work.

We are doing a BBQ tonight (its 6pm Sunday night here)
Eye Fillet Steaks, Snags & Onions and Marinated Chicken.
The Boss is making a Salad and cooking a Potato bake in the oven.
Plenty of Beer and Wine in the Fridge.
Should be a good night if the kids behave :)

It is a grilling weekend!
o Friday - hot dogs for the end of school party 14 kids 8 adults.
o Saturday - big a$$ burgers
o Sunday, just finished putting the rub on my baby backs to smoke and will probably throw on a pack of venison sausage.

Nothing too exotic - too much beer drinking and pool time.

The ribs are in the smoker. Also decided to do a doz ABT's (atomic buffolo turds, jalapenos stuffed with advacado and chive onion cream cheese, wrapped in bacon). Opted against smoked mushrooms today, instead a nice salad, applesauce, and some little personal size pecan pies for dessert.

I cooked up a mess of boneless country style pork ribs and Louisiana hot links today to feed my contractor and his guys. I rubbed the ribs with spanish smoked paprika, garlic and onion powder, salt and 4 kinds of fresh ground pepper and let them sit. Cooked them on the grill low heat, finished the last half hour with bullseye bbq sauce (ran out of time to make homemade). Made them potato salad, fruit salad, green salad, baked beans and peach pie (cheated and bought the pie and beans). I think I made the guys pretty happy :), least I could do with them working on a holiday and what not.
