Hey Guys, My name is Rich Botts and I'm fast becoming a Busseholic. New to blade forums but have had many high end custom knives, fixed blade and folders, but nothing I've had comes close to the Busse BAD I just picked up here a couple of week ago with Mashed Cat Kydex. I'm so stoked I've started to sleep with this awesome blade beside my bed. Could someone fill me in as to how you go about getting in on some of the new Custon shop blades posted on the ganza thread or how about the HG55-LE. This has turned into a compulsive disorder wanting all these Busse's but I like being out of control, it's big fun! I can't believe I must have been living under a rock to not have seen these great knives. Hoping to become a full blown Hog soon!
 
Welcome richbear, to the greatset place on the web.(most of the time) It can be a little overwhelming at times but thats just part of the fun.

As for the ganza knives, Jerry will post full details soon and the HG55 will be the next offering at Busse so you can get it of the site soon.

Others will be around shortly to give you more info but until then just sit back and enjoy a nice cold glass of "Kool-aid"!!

You're lucky (despite the incipient addiction).

The HG55-LE will probably be a regular run. Once announced, you just visit Jerry's web-page and sign up for one. Couldn't be easier. Of course, you must wait "two weeks" before it comes (they wait to charge you until just before the knife leaves the shop).

The ganzaa is much more fun. And much more competitive. It will happen some time this week. Jerry will post more information and the rules very soon -- so keep your eyes open. Follow the rules carefully. There are many old, crafty Hogs and Piglets who will scheme to get to the Trough (get to the knives) before you ... so you must be very wary.

Essentially, you'll be waiting for a given time to visit either here or Jerry Busse's own forum. As soon as you see his GO post, you're invited to get your e-mails in ahead of ours. It WON'T be easy ... and we usually get so interested we freeze up the forums, for awhile.:)

Now HERE is a crafty Hog! You won't get there ahead of him ... but you must beware his sharp hooves.

I started with a BAD myself ... great blade for EDC. I have a few more since that BAD purchase.:o

That's a freaking understatement. ;)

Look up "PaddlingMan" and click on the link in his sig for a breakdown on what ganzas are and how to enter. Talk to TonyG for a pair of ganza panties, get a few good bottles of scotch and a Cohiba, then work out your F5 finger. Might be good to work them both out.

Oh...and have lots of fun, but beware the Duccis. Many a piglet has been devoured by the Ducci clan, their tuskless carcasses left to the carrion birds just short of the trough.

I hear Grindducci uses the tusks to make handles for folders.

Thanks to all you HOGS for the warm welcome or should I say kool welcome. Guess I'm gonna have to develope a taste for scotch and snatch up all the INFI I can. Don't worry guys I'll save some for ya. :D
