On the Size and How You Use It (2 questions)

1. How do you judge sharpness, comparatively I mean? How would you judge whether one knife is sharper than another if they are close?

2. What is, in your opinion, the right size, or ideal range for an edc (that's not going to be used for particularly demanding tasks)?

1- if you are talking razor sharpness then judge by how easily it can cut hair, if you are talking about how well it can hold an edge then probably cutting through some wooden item

2- well i like 2 carry 2 different knives when i can (stupid school), one is an every day run of the mill box cutter (easy to clean and easy to fix when the blade is dull, just swap) the other i have is a junky sheath knife that is about 3 inch long blade and a 3.5-4 inch handle (im going to replace it soon just need to finnish my run of knives to get HT so i can finnish up my knife i want to use, it might end up being to tall though for an EDC)

i wouldnt want anything over 3.5 inches as a total extream for an edc that isnt going to be used for harsh tasks
