The Lewis and Clark expedition returned to St Louis after two years exploring the Northwest Passage.

Just thought the guys in this forum would appreciate the reminder of am amazing expedition and incredible survivalists.

Great stuff! What an expedition! William Clark is one of my ancestors...wish I could have been along on "The Voyage of Discovery!"

Regards,
Ron

I have and have read the book "Undaunted Courage" by: Stephen E. Ambrose. I highly recomend it to anyone wishing to read this account of the journey.

thanks for the heads up. What an amazing journey they had back then.
To think just 200 years back. Our country is still so young.

Thanks for letting us know. It was an amazing journey, especially for that time.

Wouldn't it have been great to go along on a voyage of discovery like that!!

But then you'd have to figure what knives to bring!:D

Carl.

Bryan that is SOOOOO true. We really are such a new people and continually e/de-volving. To think what Lewis and Clark did - what a courageous undertaking. For anyone who has lived among a people where you don't know the language and are potentially dependant on help or trying to avoid 'unpleasant' interactions, Lewis and Clark's expedition is at the height of audacity!!!
