Good evening CRK friends!
Today, I received my 4th Sebenza 21. As some of you might know, not many I expect (I'm not that conceited), I got my first Sebenza earlier this year in the Summer. Here we are approaching Winter, and I've been through a few! I now only own this one and my edc (CF DT Small 21). I will be purchasing another DT Sebenza next year, and getting a large this time. I do carry my smalls more often so I thought, time to trade my Large anodized 21 for an inlaid model regardless of style. Up until now, I've never had any inlaid ones. Just CF and plain Janes. I can't say I miss my large much because, I'll have another one shortly, and I made out pretty good on this trade I think.
I haven't gotten to use this knife since I just got it but BOY does it feel good in hand. The micarta inlays are very popular, and I can see why now. It seems when I'm using my small Sebenzas, I'm handling them mostly with my fingers rather than my palm. This knife has changed that and is easily the most comfortable small Sebenza that I've ever held. I still hold that the large feels better in hand, but I prefer the smalls for daily carry. I will not be carrying it AS much as my CF DT Sebenza but, I plan on rotating in as my main carry knife every 3 days or so. No reason other than the fact that I have a very hard time leaving home without my CF DT Sebenza...
Aside from acquiring several Sebenzas these past few months, I've made some friends here in the CRK sub as well. Thank you all for putting up with my sometimes long winded posts, thank for your kinship, and lastly for your shared interest in these great knives.
Not my best photos by a long shot. I apologize. I will upload better ones to this thread tomorrow.
Quick question btw. Are these recessed lines from CRK or a personal modification? The knife is dated 04/24/2012 and the scales are from 2011 I believe (C11 markings). I'm still learning more and more about these knives and the variations in details over the years so, please forgive my ignorance and also...
