Hi Camillus Crowd. I'm wondering about a couple of Camillus knives. The first is a US Coast Guard 'remember pearl harbour' knife, that I obtained from Smokey Mt. Is it true that the handles are original, left over from the first (1944, I think) production? I bought two, one for myself, and one for a young C Guardsman serving on the Great Lakes. Nice knife.
The Second model is something I just saw on Ebay. A 'redneck' special, complete with a Confederate battle flag etched on the blade. A very impressive hawkbill, and the seller went on to say the knife was deemed too politically incorrect to market, and only a few were released to the public. How much truth to that? Can you Camillus guys add anything to the story?
I do appreciate and enjoy these forums. Thanks for the all the help here.
