Well, today I sent off my small classic Ironwood..There going too tumble the blade, buff and sharpen her up..I totally screwed this knife up trying too put a scary edge on'er--did the spyderco thing, which has ALWAYS done a great job for me,but I got over confident and free styled:jerkit: :thumbdn: well...to make matters worse I put it on my Lansky too revive the 20 degree angle--LOOKED great:) but the edge sucked!! sooo I figure before I did anymore damage I'd send it to the spa for a little rest and relaxation:D I'll have the double stud removed for a single, the passenger side lug would always catch on my jeans and partially open.I really wish they could put a LE blade in for me but no such a thing is possible:cool: I was gonna send in my large also but after putting it on the spyderco I was real happy with it.He also asked if I wanted too have work done on the slabs and wood but to me the natural wear gives it a really cool "tone" Sorry for the rambling on...the wife just isn't to thrilled with knife talk.

Good choice to send it in for re-sharpening. You may want to reconsider re-beadblasting the slabs. This way you can have fun making it look "natural" again.
:D

I think he'd referring to the polished blade that is one the LE's (the limited wood inlaid regular sebs that have the year engraved). Pretty cool knives. I want to eventually get a small mammoth bark one.

I should have been clearer on that, yes LE does mean the limited edition..it has a beefier type blade, thicker near the tip-IMO! I did have one but like a dumd butt, sold it for more knives!

Your lovely knife is off on a nice vacation at the CRK spa!! Do you have another one to carry whilst that one is away?

Isnt this the LE blade the same blade as the Regular Sebenzas only the convex grind is polished. If thats correct I dont think you can put a LE or Regular Sebenza blade on a Classic Wood Inlay. Somebody correct me if I"m wrong:confused:

I believe your correct, same blade as the regular.Anne told me there are slight differences and the classic would not accommodate the regulars blade...now keep in mind,I asked about this along time ago, when I thought--"a knife is just a knife" as far as another knife? oh yeeeah!:) I kept my large classic:D I'll have my spyder stones with me tonight at work, plenty of time too break it down and cleaner up and put a sweet edge on'er;)
