But now he's found!

So not sure anyone remembers when I thought I lost this guy, about 3 mos. ago...

Well, the other night the wife and I were gonna get some late night skinny dipping done in the pool, after an awesome day down in inner harbor. We came back home with no kids, she goes in to grab our robes, when sure enough a loud "clunk" gave way to finding the little bugger in my robe pocket... One of my most carried knives is back in rotation!

What a great feeling!

Congratulations on finding you're beloved knife, I know how it feels to lose a tool.
Once as a teenager I lost my leatherman micra for a good while and I was totally lost without it in my pocket, but this was before I had a leatherman fuse on my belt everyday. Now when I lost it around the house recently I was upset but not as affected, because it's not as much of a go-to as it was.

Awesome! Congrats, I found my lost beerscout after a few months. Was like winning. I love winning. Lol

Congrats!
i know what it feels like. I recently lost my SAK Camper and I am so mad at myself for being careless. My wife and I stayed at a hotel and when we got home, it was nowhere to be found. We called and did the usual search but still nothing. I'm glad your story had a happy ending.

Your post put MANY possible, not so proper replies in my (perhaps sick) mind; what with skinny dipping and "clunks" in your robe. I think I'll just leave it at "congratulations" and scurry away. :D By the way, Hickory n steel, did you say you were a tool when you were a teenager? :p

congrats!
I lost my so-loved Dragonfly Salt for a month and a half, I searched everywhere and was really desperate 'cause it was one of my favorite carries. Not in my clothes, bags, boxes, drawers, under tables or objects, etc. I finally lost it, I thought. So small it could be anywhere. And it was!
I found it yesterday in the washing machine's filter, it was trapped there for 40 days and luckily only the clip was slightly bent, no problems with rust or otherwise.
So nice, strong and beautiful blade, I know what high feeling you get when you finally recover one of those buggers!

Inner harbor??

Inner Harbor, like Baltimore?

I hope you had some extra weaponry on you if it was!

I always liked the look of those Tarani Kbits. Do you use it for utilitarian stuff?

I do use it for utilitarian stuff. I've actually grown quite fond of the hawkbill, for its ability to hook behind straps and such.
Paired with a straight edge fixed blade and/or SAK/Trapper/Congress, the hawkbill just gives you a bit more versatility.
*(I do typically have an appropriate straight edge accessible and paired with it.)

And inner harbor (baltimore) isn't so bad. So long as you stay in inner harbor.

It was icing on the cake!!!

We had all our parents casually in one place for a premarriage dinner, we paid the tab to kind of thank them. Her dad took his boat in, her mom rode down with us, we picked up my mom from FL at BWI, and my dad from NJ drove in. (First time my parents were face to face since i graduated basic training more then a decade ago). We all had a great time, hung out on the boat in the harbor, had dinner, then we came home to no kids, AND she found my missing knife!!!

Like ice cube, "I gotta say it was a good day". :)

I lost a Parker Edwards knife an old supervisor gave to me. It drove me insane and I looked for that thing for years. It only took about 3 years until I found it behind a tool box. I was really happy to have found it finally. Not only was it decades out of production, but the connection to the person who gave it to me would be impossible to replace.
