I agree with leaving feedback for transactions. My usual practice is to wait until the item completes its journey and I have followed up with the customer.

BF has a bunch of different things it takes awhile to figure out.....

I didn't know how to do This?
I really don't know how a lot of this works? Ha
I plan on selling a few odds and ends soon, so Thank You.

Absolutely. The main reason I didn't want to come off as frustrated or indignant, though it can get tiresome waiting for pages to load for nothing.

You're very welcome.

I'll add, leave the price in the thread as a reference.

To each his own, but there are also makers who sell their items here. Sometimes we may not be able to afford to sell at the same prices we once did. In such a case, leaving the price might lock us into a certain pricing tier in the minds of potential customers, and then when they see new work of the same type at a higher price, they might move on - regardless of increased cost of materials, shipping, power, or who knows how many other logistical and economic factors.

Yeah, I really don't know why people do that here.

It's in everyone's interest to leave the offer price in the ads (even if the knife sells for a different price) and it's absoultely unncessary to remove it. If we can look up past sales on EB and ACK, why not here?

The item can be noted as SOLD followed w/the offered price either overstriked $$$$$ or shadowed in light gray $$$$$ like this which is what I do in my ads.

Also, if each of the knives offered is named in the title, I remove them from the title as they are sold and then just note SOLD in the title and close the thread when all of the knives have been sold.

This makes it easy for "lookers" to skip over "stale" ads and prevents anyone else from posting unncessarily to the thread.

And - while you are at it - leave feedback. Only takes 5 min.

It actually only takes a minute after you've done it a couple of times.

FWIW, I never leave +feedback for any one on any site (not just here) 1st precisely because the courtesy is so often is NOT reciprocated.

I let my buyers/sellers know this after they or I receive the knife (knives) purchased and, assuming the transaction was satisfactory for both of us, I leave +feedback as soon as it is left for me.

Again....not knowing, I was on BF for some time, before knowing it was the right thing to do?

At first I thought it was just for trades.....
*Now I've been doing it, regardless of the transaction.
-I haven't posted anything negative yet
