I don't use a Digi much, and the mirror finish was tough for me with window light. This room has the best pics of any, so I apologize in advance for this pic.

I've got several Customs but have never made a post here, so though I would show a pic of three D'Holders that I took last year.

Here's a pic I took of a Satin Blade and it looks kinda OK. Maybe on the mirror finished i need to use something to diffuse the window light more???

Nice D Holders.
Bruce Shaw engraving on one and three and Pat Holder on the second I presume.
Very interesting assortment of handle materials.

The image at least gives us a good idea of what the knives look like. I've seen much worse.

The knives look great. What can you tell us about them?

Thats correct on the engraving. The second was bought at Blade a few years ago without ingraving. Pat took it with her to engrave, and at a very fair price as well.

The top has a rare reverse S bolster with Banded Onyx. D' told me he didn't do many with Onyx since its so hard to work.

The bottom has a standard guard with Picasso Marble.

edit- I've forgotten what type of wood is on the Nachez Hunter(center knife).

Looks a bit like Redwood Burl to me.

Kevin - you called it, it's the redwood burl that is used most often on that model, the Natchez.

VERY nice D'Holders. I spoke with him at the show. He had several "My Knives" on his table at the time.

His knives are very distinct and ALWAYS exceptional fit and finish.

Here is a D'Holder "My Knife XL" - he made about 10 oversized My Knives over time and this one happens to be the one that appears in David Darom's book.

It was imaged separately, prior to engraving, to show the relative size of the My Knife XL as compared to a regular My Knife.

Another exceptionally nice D'Holder.

Pleasure seeing it Bob.

Well in sticking to the thread title of bad photo representations of D Holder knives, here's a few more.
Again depicting one of the great custom knife teams of D Holder and Bruce Shaw. I ask D and Bruce to make this hunter quite a few years ago on the subject of the American Plains Indian's dependence on the American Buffalo.

Don't know where this piece currently resides, but the detail in Bruce's engraving is outstanding though my photos don't show it very well.

Sorry for another bad picture. This is an older knife with a Farmington N.M. tang stamp. The blade has the traditional high polish but can't tell from the picture.

This set took about 5 years to complete. Each knife has a different Animal engraved by Bruce Shaw.
The knives are Finger Groove Hunters with the exception of the centre piece knife which is a model D'Holder calls the Polar Bear, and fittingly has a Polar bear engraved upon it.
The handle material is Mammoth Ivory with two having Mammoth Bark Ivory so as to indicate the outer knives in my display (see second photo).
