OK, no Busse content here guys, but wanted to share with you the size of these beast folders. Those of you who have held or carried a Strider SMF know that it's a big, burly knife, with serious lock-up, and a generally intimidating blade and color scheme. Of all the knives I own, that one has always been the scariest to the sheeple. Here's a pic of it.

I thought it was just about the biggest and baddest of folders, until I met THIS GUY! Ironically, I received the new knife just as I was selling the Strider, so I got to swap one bad mother for another. But the new one is worse! Here's a pic of the Dwaine Carillo Airkat Tripwire #7.

It's tough to get a sense for its size from those pics, so here it is next to the Strider SMF, which is already a big knife.

And here it is next to a large Sebenza, which is a pretty big knife, and the Benchmade 940BT, a full-size folder.

I like how you can really choke up on that big one using the choil. :p :D

I like Carrillo folders, I posted a picture of one around here and got bashed. "Too big" and "transformer" were used to describe it, I still like them.

When we post folders ,,,,,, there is no Busse content :( . That Carillo is ungodly,,,,transformer is a good nickname :D . I though my ZT-301 was massive,,,,but........ lol. Here's a cpl. others .Lrg. Classic Sebbie,,,Kershaw Blur ,,,Custom Fred Durio,,, The bottom one, a William Henry, is the size where peeps don't flip out if it's shown in public. Tiny lil thing compared to the others,,,,hahahahaa

Jerry needs to suck up some of this folder cash........ they'd sell like hotcakes,,,,, Hint ,,, Hint,,,, Hint,,,,

Nice folder! That choil piece looks like it's sharpened though? I could see myself grabbing that like a choil and getting cut. It's looks very well built, not my cup of tea but I can sure appreciate it.
How would you rate the Carillo, Strider, and Sebenza on fit, finish and overall?
Hehehe, the 940 is small by most standards and up against those big dogs, she looks tiny!

Nice blades, you should also check out the Strider AR. That is a massive folder and one of my EDCs! :D

That Carillo does look like a monster! I've never seen one. I'd be curious to hear anyone else's thoughts about them.

The Sebenza is a great knife. The action is smooth and strong. I'm not really a fan of frame locks, but this one is as nice as they come.

I couldn't tell you anything about the quality of the Striders. Some have said they're made well, but since the company founder lied about his military service (falsely claiming Ranger and combat service) in order to make his name, he's forever put himself beyond the pale for me in his business. Too much love of country and pride in heroic military service in my own family to allow room for a honor thief.

Speaking of the 940, I carry its smaller cousin, the Griptilian as an EDC knife. The Axis lock is the lock for me when it comes to folders.

its like a folding hatchet!

not for me, but very nice.

how does the weight compare with the smf? let us know how it carries.
