Well, I sent the following message to the seller yesterday afternoon. I will be the first to admit that I spread it on pretty thick (:p), but it worked! The guy removed the pictures and any reference to "Buck" from the listing.

My message:
"Dear honestwin-2112,

As I'm SURE you already know, the knife that you are listing as a Buck brand knife is a counterfeit. I'm a life member of the Buck Collectors Club and have a close relationship with the company and members of their Executive board.
I'm sure that you are going to tell me that some Buck knives are made in China which is true, but your's is not one of them. Buck would never mark and sell a knife marked with a U.S.A stamp on it if it wasn't made here in the U.S. I have access to every Buck catalog going back over 20 years and I can assure you that I know what I'm talking about.

A link to your auction has been forwarded to the staff at Buck Knives Inc. and you can expect them to have eBay close down your listings for selling counterfeits and for copyright infringement. I have also notified eBay of your fraudulant listing.

"Dear plumberdv,

my friend,
thanks your notice.
I am very sorry for that.
ok, I would change it at once,and I beg your pardon for my wrong doing,ok?
I am a new seller in ebay, a lot of thing must study in ebay.

as I check more seller did sell same knives in ebay.
could I get your understanding and forgive me ?

Maybe if enough of those counterfitters get taken to task, they will eventually cease and decist!

Well, when BUCK gets the fake knife I just sent them and gets done with the schmuck that sold it:eek:, I feel there will be one less on Da Bay. I will keep updates coming as I can as considering the guy is here in the states, there may legal ramifications to his actions (on his part).

I was told that there isn't a whole lot BUCK can do if they are China or anywhere else.

I'm sure that's true, so it's up to us to make life as miserable for them as possible. One has already changed his listings as I showed and I have two more on the hook. I will get refunds for their junk and they will get negative feedbacks for their enjoyment.

I know some sceptics will say that it's easy for them to get another seller ID, but that can't be something they like to do and will put them back in the situation of being a "0" feedback seller. Unless it's changed recently, new sellers get their money held up until the buyer posts positive feedback or a certain amount of time passes.
