HEY Mick, if you thought wed. was messed up, you should here what happened to me on the way home.

You seen me on my way back, and about 20min out, I get this PIG, opps I mean CHP on my ass. So Im in the Car pool lane and he is following me in the fast lane, and I see him the whole time. So I hold steady at 75mph, and Mick knows that people out there go at least 85-90. **** Mick does like 105. So I just hold steady so I dont get pulled over, because I know that I dont have the indorsement yet. And he follows me for about 3 to 4 miles. And this is a damn K-9 Unit with no lights on the top so im not to worried. About a half mile in to him following me, my leg has fell asleep (ia have been riding about two and half hours about now), so I start to shake it to wake it up. Them the **** goes down the PIG, I mean the CHP throughs the lights and pulles me over. Im going, great. So he walks up to mean and says I pulled you over for speeding, WTF what the hell are you talking about ever car on the freeway was going faster than me. Let me see all your info he says. Then I tell him there was no way I was speeding I was going slower than the flow of traffic. He said I seen you down shift to speed up. O really sir, thats not the shift lever, thats the back brake (smart ass), Oh then you were slowing down because you seen me, BS, you would have said that first, beacuse if I would have used the back brake the brake light would have came one. My foot was just numb, and I was trying to wake it up. And he was like, uh,uh,uh...... then walked away, because he knew he was wrong. And so he goes to wrtie the ticket, and another cop comes up the on ramp and stops, becuse you know it takes 20 Pigs to write one ticket. And the guy that pulled me over is bragging to the other cop on how many tickets he wrote today, so now I kind of getting pissed. Then the other cop helps him fill out the paper work because he doesnt know how. WTF, he braggin to the other cop and he doest know how to fill the paper work out. Then he tells me I have a ticket for speeding(duh, no **** a fag like you would let me off) and there going to impound my bike, o ****, im 2 hours away from home and no one can come and get me, and thats what I told him, the Fing pig tells me O well. Then I tell him I dont even have the money to make a phone call, hes says to bad call collect. Then I ask him how can I get it , back and he doesnt even know. WTF, this fag doesnt even know his own job. . So Im wanting for the tow truck to come so I can get his business card to so I can call and see where he took it to. Alittle after this the cop that is helping him lights up a cigerate (thats prob. spelled wrong). Holy ****, I want to kill both of them now. But I dont say anything beacuse I know that I dont have the indorsement. But if I would have had it I would have yelled right in his face, and then him to go **** himself. Then the tow truck comes and I get the card, the gay ass cop wouldnt even give me a ride off the free way. He makes me walk off, so I dont even see then tow it away. So I find a pay phone and to make this part short I sit there for 6 hours for some one to come and get me. And the ride home takes 4 hours beacuse of thanksgiving traffic.

Well got to go eat. ill tell you the rest latter.

Matt

Damn im stuffed.

Ok, so the court date is on Dec. 31.. I hope hes ready to show up in court. Becaue im going to nail his ass to the wall. This sucks now I have to drive 2 hrs to go get it out of impound, and have to go back there to go to court. All because I went to go see Mick and Duane at Striders shop. And they both forgot got I was even coming, and when I got there they werent there. But Mick showed up and we buddyed around for 15min and he had to leave. But it was nice to see you again buddy, it just wasnt my day. Hey Mick I hope that BT is going to be worth it:D :D :D .

Thanks for listening. Sorry to take it out on most of the cops, but they have to take the fall for this one.

Matt, Ill keep you updated on how much this is going to cost me.

Sorry to hear your story Sniper.

The fact that you held your cool in the face of what sounds like completely unfair treatment is commendable. have your day in court, and leave no details out for the Judge. I bet the guy doesn't show up for court. He's to busy following motor cyclists shaking their legs.

Sorry to hear that, I have met NHP and CHP that fit both spectrums, either misplaced nightstick, or really cool. He gave you a ticket for 10 over, right?

I had a motorcycle cop "go easy" on me and give me 55 in the 45, but I have also been let go a couple times.

He probably won't show up in court, so you shouldn't have a big problem. Get the endorsement, cause then you are completely legal.

Take care and ride easy,
Reed

OH MY GOD!!!
Im so sorry Matt.
I fked Matt so bad. Told him "Oh yea...come on down"...
Then we weren't there.

Now this!

Sorry pal.

don't worry, your BT will be worth it.

Mick

sniper,

I have been lurking in and out of here fow a little while and have always been impressed with the quality of people (as far as one can tell) on this forum.

BUT, this post just hit me wrong. I know you are venting and that is cool. Now it's my turn,

I am a cop, have been for over 13 years. Been shot at, shot at others. A couple have tried to stab me, and have met their maker as a result. I treat every person I come into contact with as if they want to kill me, but I do it with a smile. I don't write many tickets, but the ones that I do, the people deserve them. I support the 2nd Amendment and let people who are law abiding, but just happen to be carrying their gun, go free. That said,

In every story there is some truth and some embelishment. I'm not saying yours is a lie, just that the above applies.

You want to vent, then vent, calling the cop that pulled you over everything that you feel. Leave the other cops out of it, it makes you sound stupid and immature.

Guests to this forum will see you statement about, "...stabbing him in the neck" and think, "Yup, all these knife guys are psychos!" And it bothers me a little bit too.

sniper,

I don't know what your background is and I don't know what kind of person you are, but I have enjoyed your posts in the past. I hope you take this the way it was meant to be taken, friendly conversation. That's all.

God Bless our troops and all emergency service personnel.

:)

Sorry surfing ronin,

I was just really mad at the time. I dont mean to be a dick to all cops. I know alot of them are cool, it was just the way I felt towards him. And I would never stab an inocent person, it was just the way I felt on the inside. I dont think I got treated fairly. I know I was wrong some what. I swear that no parts of my story is a lie. I have no reason to lie. If I was speeding I would admit it. Sure I speed alot. I have done 160 on the free way before, but where were the cops when I was breaking the law? But when im not doing anything wrong I get busted. The reason I have a bad out look on the cops is because im young and most of them around here have nothing better to do but hassel kids. All im trying to do is say that I wanted to be treated fairly, the cop that got me was an ASS. For god sake, he didnt even know how to feel out the paper work.

Sorry just had to vent, I hope you dont think of me as some kind of a$$hole now. I just dont think it was fare what happend.

Matt

Oh and Mick no Prob., bad stuff is always bound to happen. I just hope its better in the Marines.

And I just want to thank all the good cops for doing there job right, and know what there doing.

Matt:D

Oh yea, Mick on the order I gave you on wed.. Do me a favor. You know the ramp on the back, can you make it like on your MSC. I like to use the ramp when I ice pick grab (mantrack style). The stock way is backwards for me. Make so the ramp slopes on the dull side. Let me know if you get this message.

Thanks buddy,
Matt

:)

sniper,

I understand how you feel. I was recently pulled over for speeding, I was. I acted how I would want someone to act. The copper who pulled me over started to brace me (remember, I have over 13 years on, am a sergeant and still keep up with or pass the young bucks on our SWAT team) and he made some comments about my Dept( actually, about cops from my Dept). It annoyed me alot. I bit my tounge from giving him a a$$ chewing, after all, I really didn't want the ticket. But, I did, in a diplomatic way, reminded him who he was talking to and that his demeanor could be interpreted as RUDE. I left shortly thereafter.

Yes you are right, there are ALOT of A$$hole cops. Thanks for understanding my point of view, as I also understand and appreciate yours.

Work hard and good luck in the CORP! Maybe we can get together before you enter, I'll take you on a ride-a-long (I work in the same city you live in).

;)

Sniper,
I purposely made no comment. I have followed you on BFC. I KNEW you were venting. Surfing Ronin is absolutely correct. Those that are NOT in the know, could have read that as what is was NOT. I am glad it is now open and done with.
Point of fact, The cop is a Jerk, slob and an absolute moron. Treat people with dignity and respect and they thank you sometimes when ya hand em the paper. Treat a person like a SH*TBAG and get what you give. In 24 years, I have NEVER treated ANYONE differently than I demanded to be treated. But as a Chief of Police, I was stopped for going 68/55 in another New England state, asked for professional courtesy and was told "Professional courtesy, MY ASS". He then asked for my ID, I showed it to him. He asked if I was armed ( MY wife and three kids were in MY car) and I said "yes sir". He removed me at gunpoint layed me face down on the Interstate and cuffed and stuffed me. That Sir, is a PIG.......wolf

OK- i'll weigh in on this too. I'll speak from experience here- i did 20 yrs on NYPD, and have worked, or interacted with a fair number of cops since i pulled the pin.
Here are some facts of life.
The job is a reflection of society as a whole. For those of you old enough to have seen the changes, you will understand what i mean- it is the same PC affirmative action disease that has affected the military. The individuals now are smarter, but also less likely to have the lifestyle experience or common sense of other generations.
They are very trainable- if offered the opportunity. However, this society, and those who work within it, are subject to the socialist propaganda foisted upon us during the past administrations.

Another fact of life is that there is no blue wall of silence or brotherhood so harped on by the media. Cops normally are alone, with one partner, and perhaps in a small squad, and therefore interact with only a few other cops. It is not a closed, and beneficial society like the Marine Corps of the Fire Department. I speak from experience here too. I spent a fair amount of my life in the active and reserve components of the Marine Corps, and my Brother is a Firefighter in FDNY (also a Marine).
When Urban Warrior was looking to learn how to train in the cities, they tried PD's and disregarded them. They went to FDNY because of better teamwork, better bosses, they knew how to work together in teams, understood C&C and there were more Marines.

Cops will torture other cops on a regular basis. What happened to Wolfman and Surfin' Ronin are prime examples. What i have found is that any cop who mistreats citizens will mistreat cops, and mistreat his family.
It is probably because of some sexual dysfunction- size or something.

But we also know that a large percentage of people who receive summonses or who are arrested for relatively minor circumstances make their own bed. "Felony Mouth" is the common term.
Sniper- i don't know what actually happened to you, and i am not doubting your veracity, but your attitude, and statements on this forum are in poor taste. Your comment about stabbing a cop in the neck is not only stupid, but has enormous potential to come back and haunt you- big time. Understand that the next time you get involved- and i'm sure it will happen again- it may be for something serious. Investigators can- and do- run through the forums looking for info to support their case.
Recently a cop was convicted on multiple charges, and the IA investigators spent a fair amount of time on the net reviewing his schedule, comments and so forth.

If you feel you were wronged, make a formal complaint. If the cop acted improperly, the sytem is on your side. I speak from experience here too- i did the 2 yr mandatory tour in IA when i got promoted.

But if all you want to do is vent, maybe you should save it for when you are at home and with friends.

Mr. Rogers,

I am somewhat disfunctional in that I always question the motives, actions, or "qualifications" of others. To you sir,

Thank you very much for joining the discussion.

I have been an avid reader of your words and we have some mutual associates.

sniper,
Take heed to what this man says, I do.

Surfing Ronin,
Mr Rogers was my Dad- my name is Pat. Thanks for the words, and there isn't a thing dysfunctional about questioning others.
It is an occupational hazard!

Tell Bill i said hello. He is one of my heros!

Never Forget

Holly crap, Pat R.

is responding to my post. Like I said before I was really mad at the time. And what I wrote here was just like I was telling my friends, becuase most of them are here. After I read it when it was posted, I knew that I didnt really mean it. All I wanted to get from him was a fair treatment. I answered all his questions, never talked back, or spoke to him like I was mad and he was wrong. So I dont know, I guess it just wasnt my day. I just going to go get my bike back on monday, prob. pay a couple hundred to get it out, and fight the ticket on the court date. Other than that, my story might sound mean, but you didnt have to walk off the free way and sit there for 6 hours, while he brags to the other cop on how many tickets he wrote.

Sorry,
Matt

Sniper,

I have read and enjoyed many of your previous posts on this forum. On this topic, I will have to agree with Pat in that they were in poor taste. I understand that you are frustrated as it is never fun to have a run in with the police.

On the other hand, Pat is correct when he says most of the time, people who are cited or arrested determined their own fate. As a cop, I know the psychology. Looking at your post, here are my observations:

In CA, the speed limit on the highways are 65 MPH, with some exceptions. Given your location, despite the fact that you say most other cars were going faster than you were, you are in violation of the maximum speed law (22350 CVC) and the CHP cop had probable cause to stop you.

Given that, everything he does from there is at his discretion. If you start arguing, I can almost guarantee that most "cop" personalities will slam you with every violation you have committed. I don't know why your motor was impounded, but it is likely due to your lack of endorsement for riding the bike.

A lot of what the CHP cop did sounds rude and unprofessional. I make an effort to treat everyone with dignity and respect until they show me they deserve otherwise.

Legally speaking (judging only from what you have told me), if indeed you were going faster than the posted limit, you will have a tough time fighting it in court if he shows up.

My advice: in the future, be humble and polite. If you have a problem with the way the officer is treating you, deal with it later in a court of law or with his watch commander. Don't get into a pissing match on scene, because more often than not, you will lose (the odds are against you.)

Good luck,

Tim

Humble, my ass.

If you are getting pulled over, just be respectful. Be polite. Don't act like they are superior to you. I've gotten away with more speeding tickets as warnings simply by making the car officer-friendly (windows down, engine off, hands in plain view on top of the steering wheel, addressing him/her as officer or trooper xxxx.)

This way, you are giving a guy doing a hazardous job the level of respect he deserves. And if the interaction takes a more positive turn, fantastic. Otherwise you didn't feed in to the power trip the occasional unprofessional cop is looking for if the stop pans out that way.

Some are dicks, some are cool. Same goes for those getting pulled over.
