I sent one of these overseas to CSM Hibbs on the other thread. It was given to a Scout Sniper, possibly from TN but I have yet to confirm that, for good deeds.

I feel it has found a good home. IMHO, this would be an excellent utility knife for the any soldier. Not too big, but a lot of knife.

Very cool.

Good to see more Rats heading out for military duty.

I saw jarhead and it was about a scout sniper. The only knives in it were m7 bayonets, which is everyones favorite bayonet, and the kabar. Ontario came out with a new bayonet for the marines, is it any good? Camillus came out with a bayonet for the xm8 rifle that hasn`t even came out yet.

Good for you,Terry - darn good thing to do!

The SAR would make anyone happy. :D

Here is a pic of the Scout holding his newly presented prize.

BTW, his face, name, rank, and unit are covered not for security reasons, but at the request of the Command Sergeant Major of the unit since the Army is not allowed to officially endorse any products.

He was smiling in the pics, so I hope the SAR works as well for him as it has for me. :D

In the latest issue of Tactical Knives I actually got an honorable mention in the article on CSM Todd Hibbs's effort to provide knives to good soldiers.

They printed the confusion by stating that I was a former Scout in the Army. I have already explained to CSM Hibbs that this was not the case since I have no intentions of taking away from the fine men and women found in the Armed Forces today.

A Pic is shown of the Scout holding the Rat, the same pic found in this thread.

I greatly appreciate the mention, and pray for the CSM and all his fine soldiers.

Give 'em hell, and come home safe.

To The Top!

A SAR Rat will definitely help you get there.

That is outstanding, Terry. Good on you.

It's very good to see the knives go where they are needed most.

I don't know the SS, but as someone in the military, thank you all who continue to show your support for us. There are times when it really does suck and it is a real booster to know that someone appreciates or at least supports us (ideologies aside).

S,

My insignificant contribution will always pale in comparison to what you people do on a daily basis for our country.

God bless each of you.

Right On! Good on ya', Terry, that rocks!!!
And I agree, the SAR rat is one of my favorite general purpose knives of all time, and makes a very good combat companion.

Good job, Terry. All these things come back around.

Karma... call it whatever you want... You did good!
