This one is mine - but I needed to edge it to finish it up. I have one more for Walt to finish - then off to make five for some Koster Bushcrafters.

This style is becoming one of my favorites. I like the styling, the welt is easier to put in, and thus is tighter and easier to make with a stop. (A Shelf is put in to stop the knife from being over inserted into the sheath.

I picked up a LOT of tips and tricks from Chuck Burrows (he has a GREAT DVD for sale on making sheaths) and many of the makers on this board. I feel I am getting better.

I think this will be my base style sheath - others will be additions to this style sheath:

The makers mark seems off - but it is centered on the sheath - not the edge and the stitching - I will likely cheat it toward the edge and make it appear more centered.

Alas, this one will go up for sale - as I cannot keep all of Walt's awesome steel.

Its a beauty. Do you have to wet form it? I wish you'd do some that didn't need wet forming.

I don't have to wet form them - but then it just doesn't seem custom.

I don't want to just crank out sheaths. Companies like JRE and Sharpshooter does a great job with sheaths like that.

I will take them one at a time and just wet form them as I go.

You just keep right on doing what you're doing. As the proud owner of several of your sheaths I believe the quality is unsurpassed!
